Got my Lotus bag, it's great

Ordered the Lotus backpack last week. It showed up pretty quick, took about 4 days to get here in California. Everything was packed well. I got the black one and it looks even better in person. Fits my gear perfectly. Definitely happy with it, no fuss at all.

Solid gear, shipping could be faster

I bought the Tilopa DuraDiamond and a Medium Shallow ICU. The bag itself is really well-made, feels durable, and the modular system is genius for organizing my camera setup. The website was easy to navigate and placing the order was smooth. My only small complaint was the shipping time; it took about 7 business days to reach me in Florida, which felt a bit long. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, though. Overall, a good experience, but a faster shipping option would be a nice improvement.

Consistent quality with the Sukha

This is my third f-stop bag, this time I got the Sukha for a bigger setup. I already have a Kenti and a Guru. Like the others, the quality is top-notch and it holds up well to rough use. I also picked up some Gatekeeper Straps. The consistency across their product line is why I keep coming back. Never had an issue with any of my orders.

Good deal on Ajna DuraDiamond

I was looking for a new camera bag and found the Ajna DuraDiamond. Compared prices with a few other brands. Fstopgear had an offer when I bundled it with an ICU. Saved a good chunk of cash. Felt like a solid purchase.

Considering the Tilopa DuraDiamond but also looking at the Shimoda Explore V2. Anyone used both or have strong opinions on which one is tougher for actual wilderness stuff?

D David F. 2 weeks ago
I had a Shimoda and now use a Tilopa DuraDiamond. Honestly, both are super solid, but the DuraDiamond feels a bit more bomb-proof to me. The material just seems more resistant to abrasion. Shimoda is great too, though, can't really go wrong.

Totally depends on your preference. I think the f-stop ICUs integrate a bit better, and the overall modularity feels more thought out for my workflow. Shimoda is also excellent, but f-stop just feels more rugged for the crazy stuff.

What's the deal with returns? If I get a bag and it's not quite right for my gear, is it a pain to send back?

B Betty Jones 1 month ago
Nah, returns were pretty straightforward for me. Just initiated it through their site, packed it up, and sent it back. Got my refund without any hassle.

I returned an ICU that was too big once. You just gotta make sure it's in new condition, and they send you instructions. Standard stuff, not a pain at all.

Thinking of grabbing a Tilopa with an ICU. Anyone know if there's usually a discount if you buy them together, or do I need to hunt for separate codes?

I Ian W. 4 days ago
Yeah, they usually have automatic bundle pricing for backpacks and ICUs. I just added both to my cart and it showed the discount right away, no code needed.

Can confirm. Bought my Sukha and a large ICU a few months ago, and the price adjusted itself in the cart. Pretty sweet deal.

How long does shipping usually take for f-stop gear to, say, LA? Need a new bag before a trip in about 10 days.

W William Lopez 5 days ago
It really depends on what you order and if it's in stock. I got my Ajna in like 5 days to San Diego last year, but I've heard some people wait a bit longer if it's a popular item. 10 days might be cutting it close, I'd check their estimated shipping times on the product page.

My order to Seattle took about a week and a half, so 10 days should be doable for LA, but I'd order ASAP just in case.
